International Course on Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation – Navigating and Managing for Impact

I would like to refer you to the succesful course that we are running since 2002 and which this year had 3 parallel courses due to the high number of applications!

This course is organised by Wageningen International, part of Wageningen University and Research Centre. This course focuses on how to manage for impact by integrating strategic guidance, operational management, monitoring and evaluation in a learning environment, whilst navigating the external and internal context. Particular attention is given to designing and institutionalising participatory planning and M&E systems in development initiatives and organisations for continuous learning and enhancing performance. Attention also is paid to the relationship between management information needs and responsibilities and the planning and M&E functions.     I am glad that after googling M&E conferences and training i fell into this website. Most importantly it has a departing point of ‘learning organisations’that are focused on improving internal expertise while making an impact outside. I am a social scientist in the making, a community advocate and a committed public servant. I will be forward my application to attend the 2010 event so i can enrich my knowledge an in return benefit my country – South Africa, in eliminating pockets of under-development.

  3. I do monitoring and evaluation for a home-based, male-oriented HIV counseling and testing program in South Africa. I would really love to receive a scholarship to attend the course, as I feel this will benefit our program.

  8. I am very much interested to participate in this training couse as currently I am working as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager in a USAID funded RISE project in Pakistan. I am applying for this training if fellowship is available. This course will help especially third world countries like Pakistan to build the capacity when there is no local expert available.

  9. I would really love to participate in this course. I work in People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative Program, in my home country Pakistan. This Program is aimed at uplifting the primary Healthcare. I am supervising the Human resouce, Medicine, HMIS and day to day monitoring of 50 Basic Health Units in my District.
    I hope this couse would give me the tools to better plan and monitor the BHUs. Also hoping that my application will be considered, so that i may be able to achieve the MDGs.

This is a great program that will enhance skills in monitoring and evaluation of programs.I am also interested in attending this program so as to widen my knowledge of m and E.I work for the UN world Food Program in the Vulnerability analysis and Monitoring unit, and i hope to get exposure on monitoring different types of programs besides food security programs.

I work as an M&E Officer for a national NGO called Farm Orphan Support Trust in Zimbabwe and I very much interested in the course you are offering.I work in Farm Communities which traditionally have been overlooked in development.There is not much data and information on interventions in these areas and training in participatory ,planning and M&E will not only assist in plugging these gaps but will also help to build the capacities of the marginalised farming communities.

    Iam currently employed as M&E Specialist for an Irrigation Project Funded by African Development Bank and the Government of Kenya. I am in charge of 9 irrigation Projects scattered in 9 districts and would like to have the requisite skills in setting up a comprehensive M&E System for the Project.
    This course sems to be very much aligned for my requirement.
